Sometimes I write poems. Most of the time they hide in a notebook, never to be read by anyone but my angry, angsty, 3 AM and too tired to function self. Sometimes, I share them with people. These are links to those “Sometimes” Poems.
I like to pretend I made up a whole new genre of poetry! Really it’s just because I’m a city girl and corn fields scare me. So, I put all that once upon a time super cool pastoral imagery and feeling into the city. Hence…Urban Pastoral.
I use the question mark because it’s not really the word I’d use for it. But, it does sort of talk about faith, or at least mine. It’s really strongly linked to the Urban Pastoral stuff as well. This is more of the bits that aren’t directly my pretend genre.
Sometimes, stuff doesn’t really fit in to any kind of category. Or rather, most of the time, stuff doesn’t really fit in to any kind of category. Still pretty much all free verse. If I get brave and try to write like a sonnet or something, I’ll mark it as such if that’s your bag.
